Lindleys, Bicycles, and Babies... Oh My!

Heidi and I had a very full weekend. We spent a lot of the weekend with her extended family to see her cousins Josh and Kel, and their new daughter Kayla, as they were heading back to China.

We also went to Long Beach on Sunday to watch the final leg of the Tour of California which was a blast. We got to watch the cyclists and teams that will be in the Tour de France in about 4 months.

To see pictures of the baby shower and Lindley festivities click here http://www.dubland.net/gallery/family/IMG_4364. For the Tour of California click here http://www.dubland.net/gallery/catour07. I will be adding more pictures of the race later when I get time to really focus on them.

Well it's been a month and I am starting to make the changes, slowly. Heidi and I have also been busy finishing up our office, (I'll post pictures soon). And managing everyday life. But here's a sneak of the new look, and the temporary landing page for Dubland. More to come.

The Changes Begin

Greetings and Happy New Year.

For those who were expecting to see the Dubland home page, this is it for the time being. I have finally begun the process of revamping the site, and restructuring it. You will still be able to access the photo gallery which will remain. It will eventually become the family and travel photo portion of the site. My art work will be in a different section. I will keep you posted.

This page as you can see is my new blog. The old blog's software was way out of date and blogger is much easier to maintain since Google maintains it for me. Anyways check back later for updates on the site.

Some New Work

In the midst of the holidays my work on the web site has again become sporadic. But I was able to finish this piece over Thanksgiving, and have a couple more pieces almost complete. Hopefully I can finish those and start doing the bulk of the web site redesign then. More to come.

Thanksgiving with a Shaver

Well I have now experienced my first Hammer Thanksgiving (my in-laws). We had a great time up at Shaver Lake in a rented cabin (about an hour Northeast of Fresno). All nine of us had a great Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed our beautiful surroundings amidst the trees ... and football.

We found a sequoia grove about 20 miles from the cabin and got some great photos in the 30-degree weather. We also had lots of down time to relax and do whatever we wished around the cabin. So I was able to work on some art pieces I have been wanting to do. I might get them up on the site soon depending on if I get anymore time this weekend to finish them. Overall it was a nice relaxing weekend, with plenty of time to recharge before the Christmas season.

Here are the rest of the photos from the weekend:
