On the weekends I thought I would showcase some of the photos that didn't quite make the cut during the week. I still think there is something worth showing in these photos, they just weren't the first choice, or didn't fit for that particular day. Enjoy.

Fullerton Loop: Brea Dam

Part of the Fullerton Loop trail is a flood basin. This dam was built by the Army Corps. of Engineers for flood control.

These photos are from a stetch of the trail so choked by cobwebs, dust, and pollen I felt I was in Shelob's Lair in Lord of the Rings.

On my first day out photographing the Fullerton Loop I ran across this blade of grass poking through the concrete and basking in the last little bit of sunlight for the day. This photo is actually a composite of two photos since I liked a little of what both added to the picture as a whole.
